RuneManga free plan: what you get and what changes
What the Free plan includes, how RuneLingua translates your pages, and what the paid plans change.
The RuneManga Free plan costs $0 and does not expire. It translates with RuneLingua, our own AI translator, works in the WebApp and in the browser extension, and offers many target languages. Every account can claim 20 free credits a day on the Daily credits page, one credit per translated page, and new accounts also get 30 credits once that never expire. It needs a free account, made in seconds with Google, Discord or an emailed link.
Daily credits are claimed by hand on runemanga.com, once a day (a new day starts at 00:00 UTC), and last 24 hours. The 30 sign-up credits and credits from a pack never expire, and packs can be bought on Free too. Pages that fail, or that are already in your language, cost nothing. Numbers you see elsewhere are not ours.
What Free includes
- RuneLingua, our own AI translator, for the text.
- The WebApp and the browser extension (from the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons).
- Japanese, Korean, Chinese, English and six more source languages, and many target languages. Every plan translates into all 89 target languages.
- The same page pipeline as every plan: find the text, erase it, fill in the background and set the translation in the bubble.
- 20 free credits a day, claimed on the site, plus 30 once when you create your account. One credit per translated page.
Limits that apply today
The page limit follows your plan: up to 50 pages in one job on Free, 100 on Supporter, 200 on Pro and 500 on Ultimate, and 20 MB per page. Uploads and results are deleted about an hour after the job finishes, so download what you need.
How Free credits work
Open the Daily credits page (a +20 free button next to your avatar shows while today's are waiting) and claim 20 credits. They last 24 hours and are used before your other credits; a new claim opens every day at 00:00 UTC, and leftovers do not pile up. The 30 credits a new account gets once never expire. Each translated page uses one credit, in the WebApp and in the extension, and the extension's out-of-credits screen links straight to the claim. When you need more in one day, buy a credit pack that never expires or subscribe for credits every month. Pages that fail, or that are already in your language, cost nothing.
RuneLingua, the translator on every plan
RuneLingua is our own AI translator, built for manga and manhwa dialogue and run on our servers. It translates the pages of every plan, Free included. A few target languages it does not write well yet, and a page sent while it is briefly unavailable, go from your browser to another translation service, named in the Privacy Policy. Either way, the translator only receives the text found on the page, not the image.
Paid plans and credit packs
- Supporter, $2.99 per month: 1,000 credits a month.
- Pro, $4.99 per month: 2,500 credits a month, and more pages translated at the same time.
- Ultimate, $9.99 per month: 5,000 credits a month and the most pages at the same time.
Paid plans and credit packs are on sale now. Whop handles the payment and sends the receipt, and you can change or cancel your plan at any time from your account page; a cancelled plan runs until the end of the period you paid for. Credit packs (1,000 for $4.99, 2,500 for $7.99, 6,000 for $14.99) are one-time purchases that never expire, and your daily and plan credits are always used first. Paid plans claim the daily credits too. Your account already shows your credits, connects the browser extension and accepts gift codes.
What stays the same on every plan
- Pages are deleted automatically about an hour after the job.
- Pages are not used to train models.
- The same modes, the same page pipeline and the same translator, RuneLingua. The number of credits and how many pages translate at once are what change.
How Free works in practice
- Sign in with Google, Discord or an emailed link. Free needs no card.
- Add your pages, choose Translate and the languages, and press the button.
- Download the pages or a ZIP before the hour is up.
Common questions
Is Free really free?
Yes. The pricing page lists it as $0 forever.
Do I need a card for Free?
No. Free needs only a free account, made with Google, Discord or an emailed link. Payment is only for paid plans and credit packs, through Whop.
Does Free work with the extension?
Yes. Free works in the extension and in the WebApp.
What does the translator see?
Only the text found on the page, not the image.
What will I give up on Free?
Monthly credits on top of the daily ones, and the extra pages at the same time that Pro and Ultimate get. The translator, the pages and the modes are the same.
What the engine does not change
The engine only changes the wording. Finding the text, erasing it and fitting the translation in the bubble work the same on every plan, so a missed bubble or a cramped line is not fixed by upgrading.
Should you upgrade?
Start on Free and claim your daily credits. If you read more than that in a day, a paid plan adds credits every month on top of them, and a credit pack tops you up without a subscription. Every plan uses the same translator, RuneLingua, so upgrading buys credits and speed, not a different translation. If a job fails at a busy time, wait a moment and run it again.
