Translate manga and manhwa into your language
Read manga, manhwa and webtoons in your own language: choose it once, add the pages or open the reader site, and get the bubbles back translated.
RuneManga translates manga, manhwa, manhua and webtoons from Japanese, Korean, Chinese, English and six more languages into 89 languages, including yours. Choose your language once under Translate into, and every page you add comes back with the text in the bubbles in that language. This guide shows the steps and what to expect.
Use RuneManga only on pages you have the right to process, such as your own work, licensed work or material you may read for personal use.
Step by step in the WebApp
- Open the RuneManga WebApp and sign in with Google, Discord or an emailed link.
- Add the pages: images, a folder, a ZIP, a CBZ or a PDF.
- Under Translate into, choose your language. RuneManga remembers it for next time.
- Leave the original language on Auto-detect, or pick it if you know it.
- Press the button, compare each page with the original, and download single pages, a ZIP or one PDF.
Reading on the sites you visit
With the browser extension, choose your language under Translate into in the popup once. Then click the R button on a page, or switch on Auto for the site, and the pages are translated where you read them. The extension is in the Chrome Web Store and Edge Add-ons.
What to expect in your language
- Speech bubbles, caption boxes and text on the art are translated and set in place. Sound effects stay as drawn.
- Many languages need more letters than Japanese or Korean, so long lines are set a little smaller to fit the bubble. Edit mode lets you adjust a line by hand.
- Names, honorifics and invented terms can vary between pages. Read the first pages and correct a name in Edit mode if it matters.
- Arabic and Thai output is still experimental.
Getting the best result
- Use the largest images you have: small, blurry text is easier to misread.
- Keep a chapter in one run, so the same names are translated the same way.
- If a line is missing, check whether it is a sound effect or very small print.

Is it free?
Yes. The Free plan gives 20 credits a day, claimed on runemanga.com, and every page costs one credit. Pages that fail or are already in your language cost nothing.
Which languages can it read?
Japanese, Korean, Chinese, English and six more languages, or Auto-detect.
Can I use my own AI model?
Yes. Connect your own key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, xAI or OpenRouter, and that model writes the translation.
